come back home to yourself
a simple grounding practice for connecting to your body, soothing your nervous system and accessing more clarity in everyday moments.
constant feelings of tension, anxiety, overthinking, or repeating harmful patterns, may be signs of being disconnected from our body and its natural guidance.
feeling safe in our own body.
many of us don’t feel safe or at peace in our bodies. this often leads us to seek ease elsewhere. we reach outward and may develop coping patterns, habits, and ways of soothing that keep us from having to accept ourselves and how we truly feel.
however, the relief these patterns offer is often temporary and can separate us from our inner wisdom, intuition, and guidance.
these patterns can look different for everyone:
leaning into drama or digital distraction
turning to food, sugar, or other substances to numb feelings
overworking, overplanning, or staying busy to avoid discomfort
people-pleasing, avoiding conflict, or suppressing your own needs
overthinking, analyzing, or doubting yourself, letting insecurities lead
seeking external validation rather than listening to your own intuition
our body is always speaking to us
most of us navigate life from our head. our thoughts are loud and dictate many of our actions. but thoughts tend to live in fear, the future, the past, in stories, and insecurity. they are rarely in the moment.
our bodies, however, can only be in the moment. they are constantly sending feedback, offering information, and giving subtle clues that can guide our choices, boundaries, and direction in life.
it is this disconnect between our mind and our body that can create a feeling of disconnection from ourselves, our bodies, and who we are.
calm, ease, creativity, clarity, and inspiration are qualities that live within the body. our intuition, inner wisdom and guidance live there too. accessing them may require us to check in with ourselves and embody who we are.
