come back home to yourself
a simple guide to noticing your body, calming your nervous system and navigating challenging moments.
constant feelings of tension, anxiousness, being stuck, in overwhelm, or repeating harmful or hurtful patterns, may be signs of being disconnected from our body and its natural intelligence.
feeling safe in our own body.
when we don’t feel safe or at peace in our body, we tend to find that innate desire for ease elsewhere. we develop coping patterns, habits, and ways of soothing that keep us disconnected from our body and our inner guidance.
these patterns can look different for everyone:
leaning into drama or digital distraction
turning to food, sugar, or other substances to numb feelings
overworking, overplanning, or staying busy to avoid discomfort
people-pleasing, avoiding conflict, or suppressing your own needs
overthinking, analyzing, or doubting yourself, letting insecurities lead
seeking external validation rather than listening to your own intuition
our body is always speaking to us
our body is constantly sending feedback, offering information, and giving subtle clues that guide our choices, boundaries, and direction in life. it wants us to learn, grow and evolve from patterns that harm us, and it knows how.
most of us navigate life from our head. but our thoughts tend to live in fear, the future, the past, in stories and insecurity, but it is rarely in the moment. our bodies, however can only be in the moment.
it is this disconnect can lead us astray.
calm, peace, ease, creativity, clarity and inspiration are qualities that live in our body - to access them requires us to check in with ourselves and embody who we are.
