it’s ok to let go

for those of us who have a million things on the go, it can be easy to forget about ourselves.

so much of our energy is directed towards planning, organizing, working, and thinking ahead. all of which keeps us in our heads and out of touch with what our bodies, or our hearts, are experiencing. they’ll often get ignored in the chaos, and we can lose touch with how we actually feel or what matters to us.

this way of being can contribute to anxiety, overthinking, constant worry, and feeling like everything we are doing is never enough. this might be accompanied with a sense that if we slow down or take a break, everything will fall apart.

when we spend a lot of time in multitasking or ‘doing’ mode, our nervous system often interprets that as stress. this stress state is designed for moments of challenge, it is not meant to be a place where we spend our days. this state can also create a feeling of ‘not enough time,’ so it keeps us in a perpetual cycle of needing to keep up.

rest and digest is the other side of fight flight. when we are in this state we can feel more calm, clear, and relaxed. our batteries restore, and we have more to give and more space to receive. our bodies are calling us to live from here more often, and to learn to trust ourselves a little more.

we can actually access this state quite quickly. and the more we do, the more we see that we don’t have to carry it all, all the time.

drop in is here to help us reconnect

to give us permission to soften

to allow a little more time for ourselves

to slow our pace

so we can nurture our mind and our body

and remind ourselves that it is safe to let go

so what is drop in?

each practice is about two minutes in length and is designed to help you pause, reconnect with yourself, and come back to your body.

you can explore it once that week or return to it whenever you need a sec to slow down, check in, and reset.
